Who Killed Her ?

It was Sunday afternoon and i was returning from work walking towards the place i live. As was about to reach my room, about 100 meter before i say a dog lying near to footpath on opposite side of road. I saw a dog, who seems to be very uncomfortable I could see in the eyes. Anxious, stressed, panicked, and scared , seemed like she need some food and water. I ignored it once and continued walking towards my room thinking about the day. On reaching my room I was greeted by the house owner's dog 'Shasha'. As i went inside my room and brought back some cookies for Shasha (She like cookies) , I thought lets walk to that dog lying near footpath and offer something to eat. I went there and offered some cookies placing them near to her mouth. To my surprise she was not able to move her limbs, just her head. I was not sure what is happening so I picked up some cookies and help her eat them.

Suddenly i heard a voice- "Is this your dog ?" . I turned back and saw a little man behind me.  The guy was from some NGO who rescues dogs. I said No and explained him how I found the dog distressed. Then he told me something about the dog. She was over run by some vehicle causing her spine to rupture, making her limbs unresponsive. It was very tragic. Then i noticed wheel marks on her back. I asked the guy can she be treated, and he replied 'no' in a very gentle voice, That made me sad. I started petting on top of her head to make her feel better, and inquiring about her condition with the person. He said the dog needs to be put down now as there was no other option. Leaving her in this condition will only make her life more and more painful finally leading to death. It was obvious she was not able to move, so hard for her to find food and water, over to that the infection will cause a a painful death.

What shocked me was when he started to bring some syringe and some liquid in his hand from his car parked nearby. He was talking about putting down the dog right now and asked me for help. I thought never I tried hurting any animal consciously and now this man is asking me to help him kill one.
So i asked him maybe we can find someone who can take care of the dog, feed her and let her live in their house. But he told me that she would finally die, stopping the infection wont be possible, her condition was really bad.

I was out of words. I can also now see only one solution a quick death. I asked the guy to give me few minutes. I went back home and brought back some more cookies and water. The guy smiled gently and said its of no use now she have been dehydrated and hungry like this for 3 days and no one nearby tried to feed her, and now when she is about to die feeding wont matter much. But still  offered her food and water, helping her eat come cookies, i could see how hungry was she was. I placed my hand over her forehead massaging to make her feel better.

Then the guy gave me syringe filled poison and himself picking up the dog to a nearby field. Then comes the hard part . Holding the dog down and trying to find a vein to inject poison. She was struggling hard, may be she was somehow able to figure out that its was last few minutes of her life. We tried to calm her down. Then finally upon finding a vein the guy asked me to hand over the injection to him and soon the life taking liquid was inside her veins travelling towards her heart. Petting her was all we could do now. With one hand massaging her forehead and the other feeling her heartbeats go down, we said good bye to her. I couldn't see her eyes as it was dark by now but i could feel her heartbeats even though she was not moving. Withing 5 seconds of injecting she was not moving, but her heart was beating. Placing my hand over hear heart I kept on feeling the heartbeats, slowing down , and finally it was all silence. No movement no heartbeats. May her soul find a peaceful place was all I could say in the end.

"Who killed her, Us or the one who drove the car over her ? ". For days I struggled to find an answer. But now I now know it was "Us" killing her for good.

Nothing is permanent in life

In life nothing is permanent, everything is temporary that means your sorrows and pain too have an end. Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. People take everything in life to be permanent love, hate, sorrow, friends, family and that is when they grow a tree of expectedness from others, and that is when they get hurt when the same tree mould with one's belief and trust fall without any warning unexpectedly and people get depressed isolated and hide their true identity behind a fake smile keeping every memories safe in a corner of their heart. Well its so common in us, its so natural in human. The only medicine or cure to this problem is that we start to believe that everything is temporary and happens for a reason and rather finding out the reason for what happened (fall of tree of expectedness) we should focus on the good things it happened for and what lies ahead. No this doesn't advocate to move on. Moving on is not the solution. It is like moving on from...

Quotes from Buddha's Life

Between the 6th and 4th century BCE, a man named Siddhārtha Gautama began to turn heads in Eastern India with his profound spiritual wisdom.  He was given the name “Buddha”, which literally means “The enlightened one”, and to this day we still receive tremendous insight from his teachings. Interestingly, Buddha never actually wrote any of his teachings down.  Similar to Jesus and Socrates, his method of teaching was verbal and communicative.  Oral traditions kept the wisdom of the Buddha alive until 400 years after his death when the first transcript of his teachings first emerged. His awakening occurred when he realized that you didn’t have to starve yourself and mortify your body, as was commonly practiced in India at that time to enhance spiritual clarity and wisdom.  When a young girl offered him some milk and rice pudding as an action of compassion, he realized that there was more to The Way than what he had been taught. He then ...
